During the electrical design phase, it was decided early on that our goal was to create an all-electric and self-sufficient building. The decision to purchase and install the Tesla Megapack was critical in achieving this goal. Although we are still grid tied, we currently have achieved 100% self-generation. We also have complete emergency back up in the event of a power failure. With the 240 KW PV system and Megapack installed, we now plan to convert 50% of our entire fleet of approximately 70 vehicles to EV. This will zero out our building energy costs and greatly reduce fuel costs for the fleet both which increase our bottom line.
